The assessment evaluates sustainability performance in four categories: environment, labor/human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. KONE's scores improved across all four categories in 2025. Read more here | | | | SCHINDLER EXPECTS U.S. TARIFF HIT TO BE LESS THAN ANTICIPATED | | | | Schindler CEO Paolo Compagna told Reuters the company expects the financial impact of U.S. tariffs to be less than initially feared, although the Swiss lift maker is prepared for "future volatility." Schindler anticipates the annual gross impact of U.S. import duties on its bottom line to be approximately CHF18 million (US$23.5 million), lower than the original estimate of CHF33 million (US$42.9 million) communicated in April 2025. The statement said "products using CAN and placed on the EU market fall under EU CRA unless the relevant cybersecurity aspects are covered by application-specific EU legislation. The advanced, technology-driven manufacturing capability will focus on locally manufacturing high-quality lift electronic systems, thereby reducing import dependency. With this, Arkel is the only local "Made in India" electronics supplier that is meeting the new IS-17900. The 35-year-old father of three was on his way to play in the Investec South African Open Championship that concluded on March 1 when he realized he had forgotten something in his room after he had already pressed the elevator call button.
