The source observed that tall buildings in the historic port city on the River Clyde in the Western Lowlands are a controversial topic, with some arguing the towers consume too much energy and resources. Proponents point to their benefits in terms of reducing urban sprawl, adding density and offering opportunities for adaptive reuse. As demand for housing and commercial space grows, additional tall-building applications are expected, with a number currently in development, including the former Marks & Spencer store on Sauchiehall Street at Port Dundas Road. Architects, designers, developers and heritage bodies provided input on the guidance. Public input will start in the spring 2024. | | | What's happening in the elevator industry in 2024?
