Questions should be sent to email. | | | BARROSO NAMED PRESIDENT OF AECAE | | | Eugenio Barroso, CEO of Seville, Spain-headquartered MP Lifts, has been named president of AECAE, the Spanish Association of Lift Components Manufacturers. Barroso succeeds Jesús de la Peña, who remains a member of the board. Barroso has worked for MP Lifts for more than 30 years. Read more here | | | WITTUR NAMES AULL NEW CEO | | | Wittur Holding GmbH, the Germany-based international elevator components supplier, has appointed Udo Aull as CEO. Aull succeeds Tom Stephenson, who steps down after more than three and a half years. "We are excited to have Udo join at such a critical time to help lead the Wittur team into a new era and capture the enormous growth opportunities ahead," KKR Director Andre Jakubowski said. Read more here | | | CIBES LIFT GROUP ANNOUNCES FOURTH U.S. ACQUISITION | | | Sweden-based Cibes Lift Group has acquired Area Access Inc., a distributor of vertical lifts headquartered in Virginia, expanding its presence in the U.S. and strengthening its capacity to deliver innovative solutions to customers across the country. This marks Cibes' fourth U.S. addition, and it is planned to be completed during the first quarter of 2024. The first post-pandemic Nordic Lift Expo was held in January 2023, and organizers observed moving to the modern exhibition center, combined with increased marketing efforts, result in a nearly 50% increase in both the number of visitors and exhibitors compared to 2018. He succeeds interim CFO Bob Rajan. Neumeier has more than two decades of experience in global business management and financial leadership. Read more here | | | ZIEHL-ABEGG RECORDS RECORD YEAR IN 2023 | | | Ziehl-Abegg, the Germany-headquartered manufacturer of electric elevator motors, among other components in drive, ventilation and control technology, in March announced it had the best year in company history in 2023, marking a sales increase of approximately 9.5% to EUR955 million (US$1 billion). Further, significant investments laid the groundwork for sustainable global growth and structural realignment, the company observed. The symposium theme is "Consolidation & Globalization's Impact on Maintenance and Safety," and the deadline to submit a paper is June 28. Potential speakers must submit an abstract related to the symposium theme. A July 2 ceremony hosted by Ziehl-Abegg in Kupferzell, Germany, will recognize individuals who are "pushing the boundaries of technology and breaking new ground in digital communication," ranging from new ways of evaluating data using AI in marketing and public relations to AI-generated films. Read more here | | | ALIMAK GROUP PUBLISHES ANNUAL AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORT | On March 19, Alimak Group announced it has published its Annual and Sustainability Report 2023, reflecting progress in execution of its New Heights program in a "challenging macroeconomic environment." The Swedish manufacturer of vertical-access solutions, including rack-and-pinion elevators, reported revenue of SEK7.1 billion (US$679 million), up from SEK4.5 billion (US$430.6 million), representing a growth of 57%. Read more here | | | REGISTRATION OPEN FOR LIFT EXPO POLAND | The inaugural Lift Expo Poland international lift, components and vertical-transportation technology trade fair will be held October 1-3 at Expo XXI Warsaw in Warsaw, Poland. The theme of the event is "Accessibility. Safety. Energy Efficiency." Warsaw represents 30% of the elevator market in Poland and has shown dynamic growth in investments and high-rise buildings. The city is currently ranked fourth in the European Union in terms of the number of high-rise buildings. Read more here | | | KONE TO PROVIDE VT TO TRIPLE-TOWER COMPLEX IN LONDON | KONE has won an order to provide a suite of vertical-transportation (VT) products for 2 Trafalgar Way in Tower Hamlets, part of a mixed-use student accommodation complex on the edge of the Canary Wharf business district in London Docklands. KONE was involved in the design process for 2 Trafalgar Way early on and will install seven JumpLift 200 elevators for enhanced construction efficiency.
