Tough week this week, Dear Riders. We were out shopping with our wife. And that’s not even the tough part. It was a lovely shop. We found our way to the candle section while she was in the pillow section. Sniffed around, found a winner, and took it to the register after our wandering. “That’ll be one hundred seventy-three dollars,” the cashier said. We were too proud to do what any rational person would do, refuse to purchase such a robbery. Still haven’t gotten to the tough part. We get home, light the candle, and the fragrance gave our wife such a bad headache that she had to leave the house for a while. What to WatchLast weekend, if you’ll remember, our wife was out of town, leaving us plenty of alone time to devour the new documentary on the Vietnam War on Netflix. Then, this week, we savored The Four Seasons, also on Netflix, with our wife. Great partner watch. Today, we’re heading out of town for a work trip where we’ll pause our binging. Much needed.
The Only Shocking Part About This GMT Is the Price[Partner] Vaer’s latest GMT timepiece was inspired by 1950s design and built for modern travel. While the G2 Meridian is assembled right here in the states, it features a Swiss Ronda quartz movement for no-fuss maintenance. 15ATM (150m) water-resistance with a locking screwdown crown? Obviously. Insane lume dial details? Yup. Sapphire crystal? Of course. It’s the quality and durability you expect from a perfect daily go-to and travel-friendly watch. The only shocker? This GMT is just $359. Oh, we almost forgot. There’s a date complication, too. All for $359. You won’t find a better value than this GMT from Vaer. What to Eat & DrinkWhere do you stand on melons? We’re having a real crisis. We’ve always tossed aside the melon in a mixed fruit situation. Give us the berries, the pineapple, maybe a rogue kiwi, sure. But the orange and green hunks of melon? Toss ‘em to the birds. But we recently revisited them, and we have to say, not bad at all.
What to DoAs we mentioned in our Watch blurb, we’re flying out to a work gig this weekend. So our weekend to-do list is pretty simple: get the job done. But that doesn’t mean we would ever leave you hanging, Dear Riders. No, no, no. Per usual, we combed through the internet. Then, combed through it again with a fine-toothed comb, all to bring you some proper weekend to-dos.
