Texnopark is a member of the Uzbekistan Electrical Industry Association and operates a state-of-the-art elevator manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 4,000 units. Advertisement | | | INDIANA CHURCH ELEVATOR LONG-TIME COMING A US$1 million elevator and disability access project has been completed at the Cathedral of St. James Episcopal Church in South Bend, Indiana, the South Bend Tribune reports. The decade-long multi-phase project involved an office remodel five years ago, and, most recently, the elevator addition. Church officials said planning and fundraising for the project was done over the course of a decade, so as to not incur debt for the church. Read more here TELANGANA HIGH COURT ISSUES PIL DUE TO RECENT ELEVATOR ACCIDENTS The Telangana high court initiated a suo motu public interest litigation (PIL) after receiving a letter that detailed the rise in elevator-related accidents in India, the Times of India reports. A division branch, comprised of Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Renuka Yara, heard the case and served notices to the chief secretary, principal secretary of the municipal administration and urban development and law secretary. The court wants the state government to give reasons for the repeated incidents, as well as the steps being taken to prevent such accidents. The bench deferred any further hearing of the suo motu case until after the summer vacation. CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND RENDERING OF BROOKLYN TOWER REVEALED A rendering of and details on the construction plans for 395 Flatbush Avenue Extension, a proposed 80-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, NY, were revealed by Mayor Eric Adams on May 7 as part of his "City of Yes" zoning reforms, New York YIMBY reports. Designed by TenBerke Architects and developed by Rabina and Park Tower Group in collaboration with the city's Department of Housing Preservation & Development, the 840-ft-tall structure is proposed to yield 1,263 rental units with 20-30% reserved for affordable housing.
