On a recent flight, two rows ahead of us, an iPhone screamed, “READ ME. SCREEN PEEK, GO AHEAD.” The size of the font suggested it, at least. Once our eyes obeyed, they couldn’t look away. Its owner was replying to a text. “Hat #1 on 23rd.” Send. Our imagination spent the flight crafting an entire story around this crumb. We won’t bore you with it. Just a friendly reminder that a) everyone’s up to something, and b) reading glasses are a more discreet solution.
