In the deal expected to close in the third quarter, Alat also becomes a direct TKE shareholder and member of the current investment consortium with a 15% stake. TKE says it will bring Alat and Saudi Arabia leading technology, manufacturing expertise and safety methodology, as the JV will serve as an innovation hub that includes a comprehensive training center. "This partnership marks another important milestone in our transformation journey and represents a new era that underscores TKE's active participation in the upcoming development supercycle in KSA," TKE CEO Uday Yadav said. Advertisement | | | ILLINOIS MEDICAL CENTER'S ELEVATORS PASS INSPECTION AFTER A YEAR OF FAILURE On February 11, all elevators inside West Suburban Medical Center's campus buildings in River Forest, Illinois, passed inspections for the first time since March 2024, reports the Wednesday Journal of Oak Park and River Forest. Having failed several past-due category 1 tests that assess elevator safety causing the hospital to receive several letters of violation from the Village of River Forest, West Suburban was found liable for a US$750 fine for the elevators on its River Forest campus. Read more here CASTRO STATION ESCALATOR DOWN FOR TWO AND A HALF WEEKS The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency announced that starting the week of February 17 the south escalator at the Castro Muni Station would be out of service for two and a half weeks, The Bay Area Reporter reports. The agency stated that the escalator closure will be part of the concrete walkway replacement for the installation of the new four-stop elevator being installed at the Castro Station that will temporarily block the south escalator. First proposed in 2016, the new elevator will increase accessibility to the station, as the current elevator is across the street from its main entrance.
